Pattie Hamann, Founder
As founder and CEO of Erica Rae’s Kids, she is instrumental for advancing the mission of the organization, managing day-to-day operations and activities, and ensuring the organization's financial health.
Pattie places an emphasis on working with students in need and their families, because she believes that equipped with the proper resources, they have the power to help themselves escape poverty and in turn, give back to their communities.
Pattie founded Erica Rae's Kids, a charitable organization, in 2010 following the loss of her daughter, Erica Rae. Her goal was straightforward, perpetuate her daughter's socially conscious values by providing essential school supplies for students in need in her community. She started with one corporate partner and cash donations in increments of $50 or less. Since then, her programs have supported numerous disadvantaged families and more than 16,000 students in need.
Tammy Simmons, Treasurer
Tammy is a mother of three (3) and grandmother of five (5) and professional that has supported Erica Rae’s Kids since it’s inception. Having been with Reeves Specialty Services for over 12 years working her way up to Project Manager, she strives to continue to learn. She takes her family, work and volunteer time very seriously and appreciates the challenges. She feels a sense of success by helping others.
She has a special place in her heart for rescue animals, especially cats.
Lisa Lessard, Secretary
Lisa Lessard has been a staunch contributor to Erica Rae’s Kids since the beginning. She is passionate about improving her community by helping both children and homeless animals. As part owner of High Drive Pet Supplies and manager at a brokerage firm and utilizes her degree in Business Management to help advance not only her work life but her volunteer efforts with Erica Rae’s Kids in its endeavors. She is a staunch believer in the positive difference that can be made in a child's future.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys competing in Tough Mudder events with her son, Greg.
Justin (Chris) St. Christopher, Board Member
As a new grandparent, Chris feels the enthusiasm Erica Rae’s Kids organization strives for. Working with larger corporations, as well as home business providing IT services for almost 20 years, specializing in Field Repair and Installation. He proudly served in the United States Navy for six (6) years and the Air National Guard for two (2) as an Engineer – Data Systems Specialist. Chris is extremely passionate about his family and work, devoting all his spare time to teaching religious studies and volunteer work.
Chris enjoys sketching and oil painting.
Vicki Neu, Board Member
Vicki Neu, worked as a Sr. Manager with United Airlines as well as Continental Airlines, completing her career with a combined 32+ years of service. Fifteen of those years were in the field where she gained knowledge as a Subject Matter Expert having done everything but fly a plane, fix it or be a Flight Attendant. She continued her education throughout and finished with her degree in IT.
Today, Vicki is now retired, spending her time working on obtaining her own pilots license, being a wife, mother, grandma & daughter – traveling the world with her husband and working on charitable activities.
Lisa Fadio, Board Member
Lisa Fadio is a self-employed entrepreneur in the field of neurophysiology technology. She is board certified in her field and has been in her career for over 35 years with affiliations to many healthcare cooperation's and private practices. Lisa currently resides in Aurora and is single mother of two daughters, one of which is adopted from foster care, raised a nephew since the age of 12 and now has several grandchildren. Her passion has always been helping those in need and giving back to the community.
In addition to serving of the board of Erica Rae's Kids and beyond charitable interest, Lisa is passionate about health and fitness and enjoys skiing, boating, running, horseback riding, cross fit training and yoga.
Gay Johnson, Board Member
Gay Johnston is a mother, grandmother and professional that supports a group of over 700 people. She is the “go to” person for new employees and effortlessly supports this group with work needs and issues that surface. She continues to improve the overall work environment which makes the duties of managers and supervisors less distractive to the everyday work environment. Gay has over 34 years of customer service experience successfully dealing with a wide diverse customer base calmly achieving successful outcomes while giving truthful guidance and or advice. She takes her family, work and volunteer time very seriously and relishes the challenges each of those roles place on her. Multitasking, caring, planning and problem solving are her robust attributes.
Overall, she has volunteered her time for 10 years within different organizations supporting people of need. After the unfortunate loss of her grandson, she realized that life was to short and wanted to help others who are less fortunate. She feels a sense of accomplishment and sometimes overwhelmed by the joy of giving or doing for others.
